In the shadow of Mt. Vesuvius and across the bay from Naples, sits the seaside town of Sorrento and its neighboring village, Sant'Agnello which was the site for our free-style painting and cooking workshop. While the workshop lasted only 10 days - not nearly enough time in beautiful Italy (life-time?) - it was a wonderful success.

Our cooking lessons were with a world renowned chef where we learned some of the secrets of Napoletana cuisine. But we weren't "slaving" over a hot stove all the time. We had a wonderful boat ride to Naples and enjoyed the sites - including the incomparable Museo Archeologico Nazionale museum and of course Naples' world famous pizza. We traveled down the Amalfi coast spending time in Positiano, Amalfi, and Paestum. Then after the workshop some of us went to Capri and Rome for a couple of days. And the painting? How could you go wrong in such a beautiful part of the world.
